Front panel:

Cast on 24 stitches

Knit two rows in rib

Knit until it reaches 12 cm

End with wrong side row

Cast on 22 more stitches at the start of the next row (for the sleeve) – 46 stitches

Knit 20 more rows. End with wrong side row.

Cast off 7 stitches on the opposite side of the sleeve

Knit next row

Cast off 2 stitches on the beginning of the next row

Knit next row

Cast of 1 more stitch at the beginning of the next row.

Knit next row

Cast of 1 more stitch at the beginning of the next row – 35 stitches

Knit 5 more rows – this is the shoulder line

                Keep on stitch holder

Knit second front panel in mirror image

Knit across first shoulder, cast on 20 stitches and knit across second shoulder – 90 stitches

Knit 33 rows across both sleeves and back.

Cast of 22 stitches at the beginning of the next two rows. - 46 stitches

Knit until it measures 12 cm

Work two rows rib

Cast off. Sew the sides and Crochet around the outside of the jersey with loops for buttonholes.

Finish with three to five buttons.

Cast on 29 stitches and knit 10 rows in st st

K12, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k12; Next row purl

K11, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k11; Next row purl

K10, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k10; Next row purl

K9, k2tog, knit 1, k2tog, k9; Next row purl

K8, k2tog, knit 1, k2tog, k8; Next row purl

Rib k1, p1 - for 5 rows and cast off loosely.

Sew up the seam

 

Beannies for preemies

Cast on 34 stitches

Rib – k1,p1 to end (work 10 rows)

Work 16 rows st st.

Chape crown

  1. K2, K2 tog to end - 26 stitches
  2. Purl
  3. K1, K2 tog to end – 18 stitches
  4. Purl
  5. K2 together to end – 9 stitches
  6. Purl

Cut yarn & thread through sts on needle.

Pull tight, fasten off and sew up seam
